Job summary

Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. seeks a Mechanical HVAC / Plumbing Engineer to design HVAC, piping, and plumbing for federal facilities such as admin offices, labs, and manufacturing spaces. Requires leadership experience and strong communication to work with a professional team on complex projects.

The role involves independent and team execution of drawings, specs, and submittal reviews, with opportunities for growth and travel to project sites. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) or international equivalent.
Minimum 5 years related work experience; ability to complete onboarding requirements.
Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.

Responsibilities

Ensure project compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Create and maintain mechanical project schedules and execution plans.
Develop HVAC and plumbing deliverables (drawings, specs, calculations) for buildings.
Review submittals, RFI responses, and conduct construction-phase services.
Coordinate with disciplines, clients, and contractors; mentor staff.
