Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and plumbing design for data center facilities and related spaces. You will develop design solutions, perform complex calculations, and ensure compliance with codes while mentoring junior engineers.

You will engage in multi-discipline coordination, support business development, and contribute to project delivery in a hybrid work environment with flexibility after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads design guides, standards, systems and compliance with engineering codes.
• Prepares complex engineering deliverables and calculations for large projects.
• Mentors junior staff and coordinates multi-discipline activities.
• Assist with client interests, business development or pursuit activities.
