Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. is seeking a Mechanical HVAC / Plumbing Engineer to design for a range of buildings in the Federal market.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing design for admin offices, battery storage, server rooms, manufacturing, and maintenance facilities. You will execute and review mechanical designs, including drawings, specs, and submittals, working independently or as part of a team with responsibility for

Competenze

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and active registration to practice engineering.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• LEED AP or other sustainability credentials preferred.
• Strong HVAC/Plumbing design capability for industrial, commercial, central plants, boilers, chillers.

Mansioni

• Ensure project compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Create and maintain mechanical project execution plans and forecasts.
• Lead development of HVAC and plumbing system deliverables (specifications, drawings, calculations).
• Review work of less experienced engineers for accuracy and coordination.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and contractors.
• Mentor staff and lead energy modeling analyses (IESVE/BLCC).
