Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for commercial water heating products in the U.S. market.

You will support the sales team with complex engineering solutions, develop technical materials, and train customers on domestic water heating solutions. The role collaborates with sales, service and product development teams to expand the BU's expertise and product reach. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in HVAC or plumbing engineering, strong communication

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical engineering from ABET accredited program.
• Master's degree preferred in mechanical engineering or similar field.
• 10+ years HVAC or plumbing mechanical engineering or application engineering experience.
• PE license and/or LEED AP preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling tools.
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert and lead PM for commercial domestic water heating products.
• Provide technical and application support through training materials and competitive analysis.
• Offer Tier 2 support to sales teams and distribution networks.
• Develop engineering white papers for domestic hot water products across regions.
• Collaborate with BU Mechanical Engineers and Applications Team on materials.
• Interface with Sales and Product Development to present ideas for evaluation.
• Help define annual BU requirements (budget, software, hardware).
• Travel up to 30% for meetings and training.
