Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to support commercial water heating products. You will act as the subject matter expert for domestic water heating, drive project management, and provide technical training and materials for the sales team and customers.

You will collaborate with sales, service, and product development teams to improve documentation, training, and product competitiveness while traveling up to 30% for meetings and training as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of HVAC or plumbing mechanical engineering or application engineering experience.
• P.E. license and/or LEED AP preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Trane Trace 3D Plus preferred.
• Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation/training skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert and lead the project management process for commercial domestic water heating products.
• Provide technical and application support through development of technical materials and training.
• Provide Tier 2 support for BU sales team and external customers on complex technical issues.
• Develop engineering and application white papers for domestic hot water products in target regions.
• Collaborate with BU engineers and METUS Applications Team on technical materials and solutions.
• Liaise between BU Sales and METUS Product Development to share ideas and evaluate documentation.
