Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to support commercial water heating products. In Houston or Dallas, you will partner with Sales, Service, and Product Development to act as the BU SME on domestic water heating solutions.

You will manage technical support, develop training materials, analyze competitors, and assist with design best practices. Travel up to 30% and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years HVAC or plumbing mechanical engineering experience, preferably domestic water heating.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert and lead the project management process on commercial domestic water heating products.
• Provide technical and application support through development of technical materials and training.
• Provide Tier 2 support for BU sales, distribution, and HVAC community on design challenges.
• Develop engineering/applications white papers addressing domestic hot water issues.
• Collaborate with BU Engineers and METUS Applications Team to create technical materials.
• Liaise between BU Sales and METUS Product Development to present ideas for evaluation.
• Assist in defining annual BU requirements (budget, software, hardware).
• Travel up to 30% domestically/internationally for meetings/training.
• Other duties as assigned.
