Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US in Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, Water Products to lead technical support for domestic water heating products. You will partner with sales, service, and product development to become the BU SME and drive design, training, and competitive analysis.

The role requires 10+ years in HVAC/mechanical engineering, a strong PM background, and proficiency with CAD tools. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S degree in mechanical engineering or ABET-accredited program.
• Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years HVAC or plumbing mechanical engineering experience, especially in space heating or domestic water heating.
• P.E license or LEED AP preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and design software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME and lead project management for commercial domestic water heating products.
• Provide technical and application support through training, materials, and competitive analysis.
• Provide Tier 2 support for BU sales, METUS distribution, and HVAC community.
• Develop engineering and application white papers for domestic hot water topics in NE and Mid-Atlantic US.
• Collaborate with BU Mechanical Engineers and METUS Applications Team to create technical materials.
• Assist Sales and Product Development with product ideas and documentation.
• Work with BU Management to define annual requirements including budget and investments.
• Travel up to 30% domestically and possibly internationally.
