Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of consulting experience to lead energy‑efficient building projects in the Boston area, including Framingham and Waltham offices. You will design mechanical systems and manage projects from concept to bidding and construction.

The role requires PE/EIT, project management, client interfacing, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, with a focus on heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing design for high performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer.
• EIT or PE Certification.
• Project Management and client interfacing experience.
• Experience with cooling and heating plants and MEP design.
• Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD.
• Energy-efficient building design focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and oversee the design of HVAC, plumbing, and related systems for bidding and construction.
• Read blueprints and provide technical guidance to staff engineers on energy-efficient designs.
• Interface with owners, clients, and architects; review submittals for conformance.
• Apply engineering techniques to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
• Direct modification of products to meet specifications and supervise design reviews.
