Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support factory production operations within the Manufacturing Engineering department. You will evaluate performance data, lead RCCA analyses, and drive improvements across production lines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yields, reduce cycle time, and ensure readiness of diagnostic tools and documentation. A DoD Secret clearance is required, with onsite work expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience troubleshooting production of mechanical assemblies/systems.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot assemblies failing inspection or test and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate mechanical failure trends and perform RCCA analyses.
• Support troubleshooting of components, sub-assemblies, housings, and interfaces on programs.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, rework instructions, and tooling concepts.
• Drive initiatives to reduce cycle time and improve manufacturability and cost.
