Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide factory production support at our McKinney, TX site. The role requires collaborating with engineering, factory management, program management, and operations assembly/test to ensure reliable production.

You will evaluate test results, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve yields, cycle times, and cost effectiveness. First shift with a 9/80 option and occasional weekend work may apply.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical test equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting CCAs and complex systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings or electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate test results of complex assemblies and determining root cause of failures.
• Work closely with manufacturing engineering, factory operations, and quality engineers to improve yields, test procedures, and cycle time.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot systems failing tests; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate failure trends, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support troubleshooting and repairs for CCAs, sub-assemblies, systems and test equipment for programs at McKinney CMC; develop troubleshooting aids and documentation.
• Work to reduce cycle time, minimize touch time, and optimize production costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges in production.
• Operate electrical test equipment to support troubleshooting and testing.
