Job summary

Bechtel is delivering a 2.5 million-square-foot semiconductor manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio. This role conducts field investigations, develops cost estimates, and leads the mechanical design and evaluation of complex components and processes to meet project requirements.

The successful candidate will collaborate across disciplines, prepare engineering deliverables, and ensure adherence to Bechtel standards, QA plans, and safety guidelines on a large-scale industrial project.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Professional license in a recognized licensing board (preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive work experience, including supervision, in large industrial plants/utilities or similar.
• Must have the right to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering systems, calculations, and construction methods; familiarity with codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages mechanical design and engineering activities for projects of medium to large scale.
• Partners with procurement, construction, startup, ES&H, and project controls to align mechanical tasks.
• Prepares bid analyses and procurement recommendations for mechanical equipment, materials, and services.
• Addresses and resolves mechanical engineering field or jobsite issues.
• Conducts site visits and contributes to risk assessments and QA procedures.
