Job summary

Bechtel is constructing a semiconductor manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio. The Structural Field Engineer will report to the Lead Structural Field Engineer and provide technical direction for field supervision across all structural disciplines.

The role requires coordinating with the Advanced Work Packaging team, executing material takeoffs, and ensuring conformance with design drawings, specs, and safety standards on a large-scale civil/structural project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years with 5 years construction in the civil/structural discipline.
• Knowledge of structural steel erection and the AISC manuals and standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead teams and present plans clearly.

Responsibilities

• Acting as single point of contact for coordination and resolution of all issues related to structural execution in the Pre-assembly yard and field.
• Assisting the Advanced Work Packaging team with development of work packages.
• Executing field material takeoffs from design drawings.
• Preparing field material requisitions and tracking purchase orders and deliveries.
• Assisting in developing inspection and test plans.
• Performing and documenting inspections for the structural work scope.
