Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in the United States is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to design complex mechanical systems across projects. The role requires thorough understanding of piping, HVAC, and process systems, with emphasis on constructability and cost-effective solutions.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of industrial mechanical engineering experience, a Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and PE registration is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and codes.
• Ability to lead a small team and coordinate with discipline leads.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex mechanical engineering assignments under general supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce detailed design calculations and drawings for materials of construction.
• Assist drafting group to resolve layout and detailing problems.
• Review vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for mechanical input.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafting personnel.
• Estimate and schedule professional service hours and monitor progress.
