Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and commission projects, applying advanced engineering methods to ensure constructible, cost-efficient solutions. You will work under general supervision on diverse mechanical assignments, from concept to detail drawings, collaborating with discipline leads.

Candidates should have a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years industrial experience, and PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of design standards and codes.
• Knowledge of piping materials, specifications, and size calculations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow department design and drafting standards.
• Participate in project task teams with scope and design criteria.
• Provide on-site startup support.
• Perform stress analysis and piping calculations.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Prepare estimate-level designs and material take-offs.
• Review vendor drawings for mechanical input.
• Coordinate with design leaders to ensure timely completion.
• Assist drafting group with layout problems.
