Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• This position requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete mechanical designs under general supervision.
• Adhere to department design and drafting standards.
• Support on-site startup activities.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies as necessary to determine the simplest, most efficient approach.
• Produce estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs.
• Produce detail design calculations and sketches for materials of construction.
• Assist the drafting group in resolving routine layout and detailing problems.
• Consult with design leaders to ensure timely information flow for project completion.
• Review vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for mechanical input.
• Provide technical guidance to junior drafting/engineering personnel.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis to complex designs.
• Develop small work sharing packages for interoffice execution support.
