Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead complex design tasks. You will develop layouts, perform stress analyses, review vendor drawings, and support field startup. A strong background in piping, HVAC, and construction estimates is essential.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of industrial experience and PE registration is preferred. On-site role based in Houston, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industrial mechanical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of design standards, codes, and piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete design of complex mechanical engineering assignments under supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts, cost studies, and material take-offs.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure conformance to drawings and specs.
• Provide field data collection, startup support, and construction coordination.
• Lead small teams and coordinate with discipline leads to meet schedules.
• Estimate hours, prepare construction specifications, and support procurement.
