Job summary

We are seeking a seasoned engineer at Sargent & Lundy to design and review systems for nuclear power plants. You will lead engineering teams, interface with clients, and drive modification packages from concept through execution.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical or chemical engineering, ABET-accredited education, and at least 10 years in the power industry, with familiarity with nuclear plant codes and standards.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear plant mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Prepare functional mechanical drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
• Perform engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant modifications and operation.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study options for modifications to operating nuclear plants.
