Job summary

Plan B Climatech is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and project delivery for mission-critical data centers. This role is fully remote (US-based) and you will own projects from concept through construction administration.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with electrical, controls and commissioning teams, and manage scopes, fees, schedules, and client communications. A PE license is preferred for this senior role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in MEP consulting.
• Experience leading data center or mission-critical projects.
• PE license preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit and energy/load software.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for data centers and mission-critical facilities.
• Manage projects end-to-end: scope, schedule, budget, client communication.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls, commissioning teams.
• Provide QA/QC of drawings, specs, calculations.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
