Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive mechanical design for mission critical data center projects. You will start remote with plans to move to a hybrid setup, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to deliver design plans and specifications.

The role requires 8+ years in HVAC design (Revit), strong leadership, and experience guiding projects from concept through construction. Proficiency with Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus.

Qualifications

• A4-year degree in mechanical or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus (or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of HVAC design experience, especially with Revit.
• Experience in electrical design for large industrial buildings is preferred.
• Experience leading mechanical design teams and interfacing with clients is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with calculation software and detailed mechanical calculations is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute mechanical design for mission critical projects.
• Coordinate with electrical, fire protection, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Produce design plans and specifications for permitting and construction.
• Mentor and train engineers, designers, and modelers.
• Lead multiple projects, meet deadlines, and travel 10–20% as needed.
