Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and execute mechanical design for mission critical projects, including data center greenfield, brownfield, and fit-out packages.

You will drive concept discussions, generate design plans, coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines, and mentor junior engineers while advancing design standards and quality control across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of HVAC design experience using Revit.
• Experience in electrical design for large industrial/commercial buildings is preferred.
• Experience across schematic design through construction administration, including submittals and field observations.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; unlicensed candidates with on‑the‑job experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design teams and interfaces with clients across disciplines.
• Direct and execute mechanical design from concept through permitting and construction.
• Coordinate with electrical, architectural, civil and structural teams.
• Mentor and train engineers, designers and modelers to develop mechanical design knowledge base.
• Maintain knowledge of electrical systems in coordinating mechanical design requirements.
• Meet project deadlines and travel 10–20% as required.
