Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to direct mechanical design for mission critical projects, including data centers and fit-outs. You will drive concept discussions through design plans, interfacing with electrical, fire protection, plumbing, and external teams.

You will advance design standards, mentor engineers, and oversee quality control while coordinating with clients to ensure timely project delivery. Remote start with future hybrid offices in target metros.

Qualifications

• 8+ years HVAC design experience, especially with Revit.
• Experience across the construction process from schematic design to field work.
• Leadership of mechanical design teams and client interfacing.
• Knowledge of controls and monitoring systems for mechanical/electrical.
• Experience using Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• PE license preferred, on-the-job experience considered if unlicensed.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute mechanical design for mission critical projects.
• Coordinate with clients and design leads across disciplines.
• Develop design plans and specifications for permitting and construction.
• Mentor engineers and modelers to grow the team’s knowledge base.
• Lead multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
