Job summary

EXP is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Mission Critical team in California. The role involves leading design of critical mechanical systems, coordinating with MEP/Architectural disciplines, and delivering SD, DD, and CD documents.

The candidate should have 10+ years in project management or mechanical design, a PE license, and a degreed engineering background. Strong leadership and communication skills are required; experience with data centers or telecom is preferred.

Qualifications

• CAD proficiency with working CAD drawings.
• Prepare/Review calculations for loads.
• Thorough knowledge of codes.
• Must be a degreed engineer and hold a PE license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Review calculations for loads and ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with MEP/Arch/Struct disciplines to integrate designs.
• Respond to RFI’s and review submittals to ensure compliance.
• Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases and schedule equipment.
• Mentor Designer staff and ensure design deliverables meet project scope and budget.
