Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Tucson, AZ site to support full life cycle activities for Air Launched Effectors products. Responsibilities include mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and assemblies for tactical missile systems, and leadership of engineering teams across disciplines.

Role involves collaboration with factory and suppliers, participation in design reviews, and travel to suppliers and customer sites domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency in CREO or similar 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for missile systems.
• Lead mechanical engineering teams and collaborate across disciplines.
• Support factory and suppliers with product development and obsolescence management.
• Interface with other disciplines and suppliers to resolve design challenges.
• Support design peer reviews and conduct trade studies.
