RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for full lifecycle support of air launched effectors. Position requires onsite work, domestic and international travel as needed, and active U.S. government security clearance.

You will lead design efforts, mentor engineers, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust mechanical solutions. Responsibilities include development, validation, and documentation of missile components, interface with quality and production teams, and adherence

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years experience, or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years experience.
• Experience in ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience in CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software.

Responsabilités

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for tactical missile systems in accordance with requirements.
• Lead mechanical engineering teams and collaborate across disciplines (structural, thermal, materials, quality, safety, supply chain, operations).
• Support factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence, troubleshooting, domestically and internationally.
• Interface with other engineering disciplines and suppliers to develop solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Work with limited supervision to meet schedule, budget, and technical goals.
• Mentor engineers within the program and use Raytheon tools and processes.
