Job summary

RTX's Hardware Engineering, Air Launched Effectors team in Tucson, AZ is seeking Mechanical Engineers to support full program life cycle, development, production, and legacy sustainment for missile systems. Onsite roles require active US security clearance and readiness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities include mechanical design, leading teams, and collaboration across disciplines to meet schedule and technical goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience in leading and conducting trade studies, development and design, requirements development and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for tactical missile systems.
• Lead mechanical engineering teams and collaborate with cross-functional disciplines.
• Support factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence, troubleshooting, and production.
• Interface with engineering disciplines and suppliers to develop design solutions.
• Participate in design peer reviews and conduct trade studies for sound technical decisions.
• Apply knowledge in hardware development in a fast-paced team environment.
