RTX is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for the Air Launched Effectors division in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role supports full program life cycle from early development to production sustainment, working with government and international customers.

Responsibilities include leading mechanical design and analysis, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with factories and suppliers to deliver manufacturable hardware while applying GD&T and DFMA principles.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with CREO (Pro/E) or equivalent 3D modeling software.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical ownership and solutions for mechanical subsystems and hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to document design data packages.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead small teams across multiple functions.
• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation for defense system equipment.
• Review tolerance analyses to ensure form, fit, and function meet requirements.
