Job summary

Raytheon is seeking Mechanical Engineers for the Tucson, AZ site to support full program life cycle, development, production, and sustainment of Air Launched Effectors products. You will design, develop, and document components for tactical missile systems and lead cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder communication, with on-site work in Tucson and travel as needed to suppliers and customer sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of experience.
• Advanced degree with minimum 5 years experience in related field.
• Experience in ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering teams across disciplines and coordinate with structural, thermal, materials, quality, safety and program leadership.
• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and assemblies for missile systems.
• Support factory and suppliers in product development, obsolescence, and troubleshooting.
• Mentor engineers and ensure design reviews, trade studies, and technical decisions meet schedule and budget.
