Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Senior Professional Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC, piping, and other industrial systems for mining and heavy industrial projects. The role leads mechanical design efforts and coordinates with electrical, civil, and structural teams across multiple sites.

You will mentor junior staff, oversee QA/QC, and contribute to proposals while advancing market development initiatives with leadership. Hybrid work arrangement available nationwide.

Qualifications

• Requires PE with ten+ years of progressive experience in industrial mechanical systems design.
• Experience coordinating with multiple disciplines during design and construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication and proposal development skills.
• Ability to coach/mentor junior staff and oversee QA/QC reviews.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design efforts for complex plant and site systems across heavy industrial sectors.
• Prepare mechanical plans, specifications, design details and construction documents.
• Mentor team members and oversee technical quality and project management practices.
• Support business development, proposals, and client presentations.
