Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Mechanical Group Manager for its Mining division. You will lead the Mining Mechanical team, drive growth, and manage budgets for HVAC, piping, and balance-of-plant systems.

You will provide technical guidance, mentor engineers, and coordinate with multi-discipline teams from conception through construction. This role requires PE licensure and 15+ years of design experience, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• PE license with 15+ years of progressive mechanical design experience in HVAC, piping, and balance-of-plant systems.
• Experience directly managing a diverse portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects across multiple disciplines.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead engineering professionals at varying experience levels.
• Strong written reports and presentations for proposals, specs and client interviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts and oversee QA/QC across projects.
• Coach and mentor a team of engineers and designers toward objectives.
• Manage budgets, scheduling, and multi-discipline coordination.
• Develop proposals, conduct project interviews, and lead client discussions.
• Travel up to 20% for project meetings and on-site reviews.
