Job summary

TKDA, an employee-owned engineering and design firm, seeks a Graduate Design Engineer to join the Mining Mechanical team in Minnesota. You will develop plans and drawings for process piping and ventilation, and assist with PFDs and equipment layouts while collaborating across disciplines.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup, typically three days in the office and two remote, with up to 15% travel to other offices and sites. Minimum 2–5 years design experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 2–5 years of progressive experience designing commercial/industrial mechanical systems.
• Strong communication skills; ability to write specifications and reports and participate in project meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans, design specifications, and detailed drawings for process piping and industrial ventilation systems.
• Assist with process flow diagrams and equipment layout/arrangements.
• Support construction administration: interpret plans, monitor progress, and maintain reports to ensure conformance.
