Job summary

TKDA, an employee-owned engineering and design firm, is seeking a Senior Professional Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of HVAC, processing, piping and related mechanical systems for heavy industrial facilities and site operations across the country.

You will oversee mechanical design teams, coordinate with multi-disciplinary groups, mentor junior engineers, prepare plans and specifications, and help drive project success through all phases from concept to construction, while embracing our

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license with 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of project development, design coordination with disciplines, and construction.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and proposal/presentation skills.
• Experience coaching/mentoring engineers and leading QA/QC reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for complex plant/building systems in heavy industry (mining, processing, metals).
• Prepare mechanical plans, specs, details, and construction documentation.
• Lead design teams and manage technical, quality, financial, and safety aspects from conception to construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote adherence to design standards and project management practices.
• Collaborate with Marketing and leadership to develop proposals and client presentations.
