Job summary

DLR Group in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Justice + Civic sector. You will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality construction documents, manage schedules, and ensure design excellence across multiple regions.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers, support business development, and mentor staff while upholding the firm’s climate action commitments and project budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 15+ years of engineering experience in building systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects and staff across regions, ensuring design criteria are met.
• Assure design quality and control budget, schedule and scope.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients in an integrated design process.
• Lead business development initiatives including RFP responses and client interviews.
• Provide technical reviews and represent the firm in meetings with owners and consultants.
