Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 15+ years of engineering experience including design of building systems for Justice + Civic.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering including smoke control design.
• Familiarity with facility operations and building systems maintenance.
• Ability to lead teams and manage cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledge of local building and energy codes.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Awareness of climate action commitments (AIA2030, ME2040, SE2050).

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects and staff across regions to align with design criteria for justice projects.
• Assure quality of design through multiple touchpoints.
• Manage project execution within budget, schedule, and scope.
• Track milestones and prepare regular status reports.
• Coordinate meetings with staff, clients, vendors, and consultants.
• Contribute to RFP responses and client interviews for business development.
• Lead the design on projects of significance.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers in integrated design.
• Carry out technical reviews prior to issuance.
• Represent DLR Group at meetings with owners, clients, and suppliers.
