Job summary

Kiewit is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for industrial facilities across multiple US locations. You will design, analyze, and deliver mechanical systems including process piping, pumps, boilers, and CDU/CRAH-focused cooling solutions, in fast-paced EPC environments.

You’ll drive scope, manage teams, and collaborate with construction to translate design into buildable systems. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of mechanical/process engineering experience, an ABET-accredited degree, and EIT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or willing to obtain.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, coordination, and oversight of mechanical systems for industrial facilities.
• Lead design calculations, equipment specifications, and code compliance.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and third-party engineers; manage design progress and budgets.
• Prepare design deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets) and support construction on-site.
