Job summary

Kiewit Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and delivery of industrial facilities. You will drive mechanical system design, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure constructability and cost-effectiveness in fast-paced design-build environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on design and on-site collaboration with construction teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mechanical engineering within industrial settings, familiarity with CDU/CRAH

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry-related engineering experience in industrial facilities.
• Experience with CDU/CRAH, fan walls, containment modules for air cooling, and EPC/Design-Build projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in design documentation and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, coordination, and oversight of mechanical systems for biogas and other industrial facilities.
• Prepare calculations for pressurized and gravity-driven systems.
• Manage design calculations and equipment specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and third-party engineers.
• Review contracts and incorporate requirements to meet goals.
• Oversee budgets and schedules for mechanical activities.
• Develop schedules, staffing, and project assignments.
• Mentor peers and support staff on industry standards.
