Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in related field and 10 or more years related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading engineering projects.
• Expertise in the design and application of complex air-side and water-side HVAC systems (chilled water, condenser water, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, AHUs, DOEAS, RTUs, VAV, CRAC/CRAH, energy recovery).
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC controls, including control diagrams and sequences of operation.
• Experience designing sustainable building systems, including LEED or similar sustainability credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems from concept through construction documentation and construction administration.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations using industry-standard software.
• Perform technical review and QA/QC to ensure code-compliant, high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and modify models, plans, details, and drawings of M&E systems per standards.
• In-depth energy modeling using COMcheck and EnergyGauge.
• Support career development and technical skill advancement of team members.
• Conduct training sessions for internal staff when necessary.
