Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and plumbing design for complex buildings. You will oversee project scope and schedule, mentor staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, code-compliant engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of HVAC experience, a PE license, and proficiency with Revit, CFD tools, and coordination across disciplines. This on-site role offers growth and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and 7+ years of related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• Experience with HVAC system design for commercial/mixed-use/healthcare/high-rise.
• Familiarity with LEED or similar sustainability credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Design and support HVAC and mechanical systems for complex buildings.
• Model airflow and thermal performance using CFD tools.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure code-compliant deliverables.
• Lead cross-disciplinary design coordination and client presentations.
• Mentor staff and conduct training sessions as needed.
