Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC/building systems to design, document, and lead multi-disciplinary projects for federal and defense programs. You will develop design philosophies, load calculations, and BMS sequences, while coordinating field verification and startup activities.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of relevant experience, and strong Revit/Navisworks skills. Hybrid work model and generous benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering and a P.E. license.
• Experience in HVAC/Mechanical building design projects (DoD/Defense contractor preferred).
• Proficiency with Revit; knowledge of codes and energy modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and basis of design level design approaches and documentation.
• Perform construction support including RFIs and submittal reviews; assist with system start-up.
• Direct Revit designers and manage mechanical/utilities scope within budgets and schedules.
