Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join the Building Mechanical team. You will design HVAC systems for heavy industrial facilities, perform field investigations, size equipment, and prepare construction design packages, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will work with Revit, have 10+ years of HVAC experience, and ensure compliance with codes. The role supports hybrid work across U.S. locations with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (chilled water, cooling water, etc.).
• Coordination with other disciplines.
