Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to lead design and production of building mechanical and plumbing systems for federal projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, and manpower while coordinating with other disciplines and leading field inspections to ensure timely, accurate construction documents.

The role requires a BS Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, 5 years HVAC/plumbing in consulting, and a PE license. You will work in a hybrid environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Bachelor Degree in Architectural Engineering (BSAE) required.
  • Required 5 years HVAC and Plumbing experience working in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Professional Engineer License required.
  • Revit experience required.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Federal projects design and production efforts.
  • Be responsible for managing mechanical project budgets, schedules, and project specific manpower requirements.
  • Attend client review conferences.
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports.
  • Lead work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
  • Understand and apply applicable code requirements and industry standards for mechanical, plumbing systems.
