Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC/plant utility design for complex facilities. You will develop design philosophies, documentation, and specifications, while coordinating with multi-discipline teams and performing load calculations and energy modeling.

The role requires a PE license and 10+ years in relevant designs, with expertise in Revit, Navisworks, and energy tools. Hybrid work and travel may be involved within the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering required.
• P.E. license required.
• At least 10 years in HVAC/Mechanical building design (Federal/DoD preferred).
• Experience with Revit and multi-discipline teams.
• Knowledge of building codes and energy modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC and plant utility systems philosophies and designs.
• Produce basis of design documentation and construction specifications.
• Perform load calculations and energy modeling.
• Develop BMS control philosophy, sequences, and diagrams.
• Lead/review Revit models and coordinate with teams; travel as needed.
