Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team in the United States. You will lead the design and documentation of HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients, performing calculations, creating AFDs and P&IDs, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires 10+ years of HVAC experience in industrial settings, proficiency in Revit, and strong knowledge of relevant codes.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years’ experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and ability to read and develop P&IDs.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.
• Adaptability to fast-paced deadlines and multi-discipline coordination.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents with sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water).
• Coordination with other disciplines and vendors; field investigations and client interfacing.
