Stantec is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings team in Houston, TX. You will lead HVAC and mechanical design across sectors, collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver innovative, sustainable building solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a US PE license, has 10+ years in commercial building design, and demonstrates leadership in multidisciplinary projects. Proficiency in Revit, TRACE, and energy modeling, with strong communication and travel

Qualificações

• Current PE license in the United States required; Texas licensure or eligibility preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, hydronic, steam systems and building infrastructure.
• Experience leading mechanical design on complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Proficiency with Revit and developing construction documents.
• Experience with energy modeling software including TRACE or IES.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with client coordination.
• Willingness to travel overnight about 10% of the time.

Responsabilidades

• Lead HVAC system design for complex projects, including airside and hydronic systems.
• Perform load calculations, ventilation sizing, and equipment selections.
• Develop drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction documents.
• Prepare studies, energy modeling analyses, and basis-of-design narratives.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and fees; provide PM support.
• Review calculations, drawings, and deliverables for quality and code compliance.
• Support construction administration and respond to RFIs.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical training.
