Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design advanced mechanical systems for the built environment, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing, using Revit and AutoCAD. You will work with PMs and design staff to develop unit-costs, specifications, and energy analyses while ensuring codes and quality standards are met.

You will participate in field investigations and design reviews, mentor junior staff, and help manage project budgets and schedules across Puget Sound offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Professional Engineer license is required.
• 10+ years of related professional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for the built environment with limited PM direction.
• Collaborate with project managers and design staff as part of a coordinated team.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specs, and energy analyses to meet project needs.
• Research options and communicate impacts to project goals and budgets.
• Support construction administration and ensure timely, compliant documentation.
