Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team in the United States. You will lead projects, design and analyze HVAC and plumbing systems for complex buildings, and mentor staff.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, strong communication, and expertise with Revit and CFD modeling. We offer growth, collaboration, and a comprehensive benefits package.

This on-site role may require travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in related field and 7+ years related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
• Experience with building HVAC system design for commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, aviation, hospitality, and/or high-rise preferred.
• Experience designing sustainable building systems, including LEED or other sustainability credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Design and support HVAC and mechanical systems for complex buildings.
• Model and analyze airflow distribution and thermal performance using CFD tools.
• Perform cooling load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate system options and solutions.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure code-compliant deliverables.
• Develop models, plans, and drawings per standards.
• Present design concepts during coordination meetings.
• Lead and mentor team members.
