Axon is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive innovative product development from concept to manufacturing at our Sterling, VA office in a hybrid setting.

You will own mechanical design and system integration for advanced hardware, apply CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360), prototype with fabrication equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver durable, high-performance solutions in diverse environments.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and system integration.
• Proficiency in CAD software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of embedded systems (ESP32, Arduino) and single-board computers (Raspberry Pi).
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, EMI, and shock/vibration.
• Experience with thermal and structural analysis simulations.
• Familiarity with MIL-STDs and designing for harsh environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication skills.
