Job summary

Woolpert, a global leader in architecture, engineering, and geospatial services, seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and mechanical design for complex buildings. You will mentor staff, manage scope and schedule, perform technical reviews, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver code-compliant, high-quality projects.

Requirements include a BA/BS or MS in a related field, PE certification, and strong experience with Revit and CFD modeling; travel to project sites

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in related field is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
• Experience with building HVAC system design for commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, aviation, hospitality, and/or high-rise is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and support HVAC and mechanical systems for complex buildings, including air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems.
• Model airflow, thermal performance and cooling effectiveness using CFD tools.
• Perform cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and project modeling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate system alternatives and coordinate designs.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure code-compliant, high-quality deliverables.
• Lead and mentor team members, and present concepts during design reviews.
