Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer/Designer to support mechanical design for mission-critical projects. You will work under senior engineers, perform design tasks, and interface with multi-discipline teams to deliver robust data center solutions.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, opportunities to learn, and potential for growth in design methods, calculations, and project delivery with exposure to greenfield and brownfield data center environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology preferred.
• Internship/co-op or work experience in a consulting engineering role is a plus.
• Experience in the construction industry a plus.
• Experience using Revit in education or professional context is a plus.
• EIT designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical design tasks for various project types under senior guidance.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with design leads across disciplines (electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Learn to interface with architects, civil and structural teams.
• Travel up to 10% to project sites and participate in training opportunities.

Education

2- or 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology

Drafting certification (HVAC) considered

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus
