Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer for the Lunar Permanence program. You will create, maintain, and release CAD models for the Transfer Stage Vehicle using Creo and PLM tools, while ensuring designs meet specifications and standards.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in CAD & Design and 4+ years in aerospace. You will collaborate across teams to select materials, define processes, and support manufacturability from concept to release.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD & Design.
• Experience in aerospace development or related field.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience releasing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design layouts and release data sets using CAD and PLM tools.
• Interface with subsystems to place avionics boxes in the model.
• Review drawings for compliance with specs and standards.
• Apply design/manufacturing best practices to balance cost, schedule and performance.
