Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our team. The role supports data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile projects, collaborating with designers, vendors, and clients in Revit.

You will develop HVAC and plumbing layouts, perform load calculations, and optimize equipment placement for energy efficiency while ensuring code compliance. This on-site Florida position offers growth within a dynamic design group.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in MEP mechanical design for large projects.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software and Revit.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and industry best practices.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and plumbing system design and documentation in Revit for data centers and offices.
• Develop HVAC and plumbing layouts including ductwork and piping.
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing to optimize performance.
• Coordinate with architects and electrical/structural engineers for integration.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders and assist with site inspections.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and sustainability requirements.
• Stay updated on Revit features and industry trends.
